Lodge a Complaint

The Commission is mandated by the Telecommunications Act (2009) to regulate the telecommunications sector and as such, maintains its policy of assisting complainants to address complaints directly to their service provider, as the first step towards resolving individual problems. However, the Commission can be requested or may, of its own volition, carry out investigations into matters related to market, service providers, services, anti-competition or other such issues.

Type of Complaint

Application for a Class Licence must be made through the Commission’s prescribed standard form which must be completed and submitted to the Commission. If the applicant satisfies the qualification criteria and there is no irregularity with its form, the applicant will be registered for the class licence 45 days after filing the form. Under the Telecommunications Act (2009) {link to Act}, the Commission cannot restrict the number of applicants that may be registered for a Class Licence.
